"Our Mr. Matsura" film returns to the Okanogan Valley Friday August 28th in Oroville, WA at the Oroville Public Library. There will be a 3:30 matinee and a showing at 6:30 p.m. with a Q&A with film director Beth Harrington following the film. Free tickets need to be picked up before the events due to limited seating.
On Saturday August 29th the film returns to the red theater of Mirages Theaters in Omak, WA. Doors open at 1:00 p.m. show at 2:00 p.m., free admission, and director Beth Harrington will be present.
"Our Mr. Matsura, a feature documentary, is the story of photographer Frank Matsura who journeyed from his native Japan to live in rural Washington State in the early 1900s. The son of a samurai, orphaned at a young age, Matsura was raised in Tokyo in the early Meiji Era, emigrated to Seattle as a young man and eventually made his way to Okanogan County."
